Spring is officially here and I couldn’t feel happier that enjoying the not-so-cold weather last Sunday than going to have brunch in North London. I didn’t doubt to research a bit on the Internet et voilà! I found it and decided it; I will go to Back Truffle.
I took the Tube and went northbound for a happy meal. Black Truffle is located in the Borough of Camden, London (you can see the full address down below) and the closest tube stations are Swiss Cottage and Chalk Farm.
One of the best things of this deli was that we didn’t have to wait a queue to be served nor the place was packed –as unfortunately usually happens in here–, we came, sat and ordered!
We had smoked turkey sandwich and poached eggs on a toast with espresso and macchiato. The flavour and the blend of coffee was spectacular and yet the toasted bread was delicious and tasty, the lack of sauces –has anyone said hollandaise sauce?– on it made us feel it was too dry and therefore hard to chew and swallow.
After having our nice brunch a cosy and relaxed place, we decided to take a walk and go a bit further towards to Hampstead where we strolled around checking shops and boutiques looking for a bath foam –unfortunately, I didn’t find any that I liked so I’m still looking around. Any suggestions?
We ended up the day going back to Central London to take a walk in Hyde Park and have a hot caramel latte after checking some more shops.
