Madrid City Break

One of the things that I love the most is to visit cities on a weekend to run away from London and Madrid is a city that I specially love –I have visited Spain’s capital many times and I always find it romantic somehow.

In this short break, I had the chance to walk the city and explore its incredible streets and food spots; I stayed close to Plaza del Sol and that is key to move easily within a walking distance (I have to say I barely used the public transport! something you can only dream about in London).

What to do in Madrid

  1. Get lost among the streets of Malasaña and its amazing scene. Not to miss either: Latina neighbourhood, very tendy.
  2. Visit the Temple of Debod –a true Egyptian temple in the heart of Madrid
  3. Go shopping in Gran Vía and in Serrano Street
  4. Look up! Literally, look up; Madrid’s architecture is stunning. Spoiler alert: you might fall in love.
  5. Tapas

What can be a nicer plan that taking a walk around Madrid’s parks to admire the sunset with your partner? Okay, it’s having tapas, but it is nice to do some exercise between hours.
