I had the opportunity to visit the charming fairytale-like town of Canterbury in Kent and I’m still thinking of the pretty channels of the river and its beautiful gardens. We took a train from London Victoria and arrived at Canterbury just in time for lunch and to take pictures with the great light that was hitting the water.
It is somehow uncomfortable yet beautiful to admire Canterbury’s buildings; none of them is built with straight walls!
Another thing that actually made us say “woah” was to see how clean the water of the river was! We took a boat to go around and the rower –Matt, a friendly guy– explained to us that there are strict local laws in regards to the river; no electric or fuel-powered boat is allowed and the only option is to row! That’s why we could see many ducklings, little fishes and plants on the river!
